    Frequently Asked Questions by Employees
  • Who can use the Employee Assistance Program (EAP)?

The EAP benefit is available for all employees, their spouses, domestic partners and family members within their household.

  • How much will using the EAP cost?

The EAP is a pre-paid company benefit and is free for all eligible participants and includes a limited number of face-to-face visits.

  • Are the Employee Assistance Network’s (EAN’s) services confidential?

All participation in the EAP is confidential. EAN does not provide any participant contact information without written consent. Exceptions apply only in unique circumstances as required by law.

  • How do I contact the EAP?

Employees are provided a toll-free, 24-hour access telephone number to call the EAP. This toll-free number will always reach an EAP counselor and never voice mail.

  • What are the EAP counselors’ qualifications?

All EAP counselors hold at minimum, a master’s or doctorate-level clinical license, with several years of practice experience.

  • How does the referral process work?

Participants can meet with an EAP counselor for up to the amount of sessions allowed within the benefit.  After these sessions are used, referral options for ongoing counseling are always offered.

  • Where are services available?

EAN has a broad range of providers located near the organizations with which we contract.

  • How do I schedule an appointment?

Participants can begin the process by calling the toll-free number provided and scheduling an appointment with an EAP counselor. Appointments are available days and evenings.

  • Are psychiatric services available?

The EAP counselor will work with you to evaluate any need for psychiatric services and assist in the referral process.
